You Drive a Scion
Scion was Toyota's youth brand, and it built some fun, dependable little cars. Toyota ended the brand in 2016, but that doesn't mean your Scion is on its own.
Under the badge, a Scion is Toyota through and through, and the FR-S shares its heart with Subaru. We know these cars, and we still service and repair them.
You'll get the truth from us. We test the real cause, send the photos to your phone, and give you a written estimate before we start.
Your Scion still matters, and so do you. We got you.
Under the Hood
| Scion issue we see | What we do about it |
|---|---|
| Oil consumption on the 2AZ-FE 2.4 in the tC and xB | This engine can use oil over time. We check your level, look for the cause, and tell you plainly whether it's normal or something to address. |
| Timing chain and tensioner noise | We scan for codes, check the chain and tensioner for wear, and show you the parts before any work. |
| FR-S valve spring and boxer engine concerns | The FR-S shares its FA20 engine with Subaru and had a known valve spring recall on certain years. We check it honestly and tell you where yours stands. |
| Oil consumption on the FR-S boxer engine | We check your oil level and driving habits, then give you a straight answer instead of a scare. |
| Water pump and coolant leaks | We pressure-test the cooling system, find the real source of the leak, and show you the photos before we quote it. |
| Fast brake wear on the sporty models | We measure the pads and rotors, show you the numbers, and only recommend brakes when it's truly time. |
| Suspension clunks and worn bushings | We inspect the control arms, links, and bushings and point to the exact worn part making the noise. |
| Check engine light or rough idle | We pull the codes, test the real cause, and send photos before we quote a thing. |

Quick Answers Before You Book
Yes. Toyota ended the brand in 2016, but a Scion is a Toyota underneath and parts are still available. We service and repair them just like any other car we see.
The 2.4 engine in some of these can use oil over time. Bring it in and we'll check the level, look for the cause, and tell you plainly whether it's normal or something to address.
Yes. The FR-S shares its boxer engine with Subaru and had a known valve spring recall on certain years. We know these cars and check them honestly.
Most likely, yes. We service the whole Scion lineup, from the tC and xB to the FR-S, iQ, and iA.
Yes. Most repairs carry our nationwide 2-year, 24,000-mile warranty, and most engine and transmission work carries 3 years or 100,000 miles. If something we fixed gives you trouble, we make it right.
Most Scion repairs run one to four days. Scion is gone as a brand, but it is Toyota underneath, so parts are easier to get than people expect and usually land day two or three. Day one is testing, inspection, photos, and a written estimate you approve. We finish day three or four. Brakes are often done the same day. Walk-ins are fine for drop-offs, and we can usually get you in the same day or the next.
